Sue Van Matre

sue2shdI started doing kennel work in high school. Then in 1988 Dr.Terry Durkes trained me as his technician. I also have worked with the DNR to rehabilitate wild animals.

Dr. Durkes has shown me the proper way to care for wild life and it has been rewarding to see them released back into the wild.

I have two children.

I love working with animals to make sure they get the best care possible. Working at Western Avenue Animal Hospital has been very rewarding for me.

I am also a 4-H leader with Wranglers Horse and Pony Club and Liberty – Green 4-H. Club. It is all about loving to work with the animals.
